Pond Roaders.

Welcome to Pond Rd.

Our artwork is a collection of policies.

And words of support.

We wanted to make sure that everyone knew who we represented. He held this flag every day on the picket lines, and he waved it with each passing car.

Most of the time we walked in circles, which we found boring at times. So sometimes we crab-walked, we moonwalked, and did figure 8’s.

We got to know one another, and not just the typical “what’s your program?” or “what year are you in?” or “what’s your research?” No. We exchanged recipes and jokes and pop culture references.

And we also exchanged fashion tips. Buttons just aren’t made to be on your coat.

We wanted to make sure that we weren’t all muddied at the end of the day.

We also wanted to keep our drivers occupied with reading material as they waited to pass through. Although some didn’t approve of what we wanted to say, for the most part, we spoke to some great people.

Regardless of who it was that was driving through, we made sure to send them off with positive messages.

What was really cool about Pond Rd. was the juxtapostion of the construction site with nature.

The opposite side of the road was this amazing wooded area.

Despite the long days, we always tried to make time to smile.
